About

Multi-Module Trainings are ongoing series for bodyworkers and talk and touch therapists. They are designed to be completed with all modules in sequence, in the same training cohort. While it is sometimes possible for students to start with earlier modules in one learning cohort and then complete later modules with a different cohort, we ask that you contact us to request special scheduling of this type.

The primary focus of this in-person workshop series is on developing tactile skills, somatic awareness, and other touch-related skills in the context of working with the resolution of trauma. Mental health providers, touch therapists, and other somatic practitioners will find this training useful for increasing their skills for more directly including the body in the resolution of traumatic stress symptoms.

The coronavirus pandemic required many practitioners to move to an online format in working with their clients. Many of those same practitioners are continuing with online work on an ongoing basis. This provoked many requests from our community for an online training program that is compatible with working somatically online. We responded by adapting our familiar Touch Skills Training to an online format, providing practitioners with online-compatible methods for working somatically with clients to support their recovery from trauma, as well as supporting their somatic change process.

Our three-module trainings are designed to be completed with all modules in sequence, with the same cohort. While it is sometimes possible for students to start with earlier modules at one location and then complete in a different location, we ask that you contact us to request special scheduling of this type.

In a case where Module 1 is full with a waiting list, we reserve space in Modules 2 and 3 for students who started the training at that location. We cannot guarantee space for students who did not begin Module 1 in the same group.
